Much to his own surprise and pleasure, Loopy came into existence in mid 1978, in Iran, three days before martial law was declared and 6 months before the Islamic Revolution. Spending his formative years in his beloved homeland, he (along with his parents) moved to the climatically challenged but otherwise lovely country of Canada, after 13 years.
It would be another 13 years, before he would once again pack of his bags (and many…. many boxes) to move to a new continent. In the meantime however, he did what all good Iranian have to do in order to become a man, and be allowed to do whatever they want: he studied a lot and became an engineer. Having obtained his rite of passage, he decided to do what he had wanted to do since he had been 10, that is, study physics. Along the way he met a lot of weird and wonderful characters, one of which became the catalyst for Loopy to move to france, which he did in 2005, and live in Paris.
Following a year of hard work, and starting from nearly-0 french, (despite living in Canada which is officially bilingual), he passed the national recruitement exam for bevoming a teacher, and became a teacher. He currently is still living in Paris, where he has been longer than anywhere else in his life, teaching physics to teeangers, and becoming more and more of a grumbly science teacher who can believe less and less that the youts are becoming lazy and shunning effort and feeling entitled and yet anxious about not living up to expectations.
Despite his life-long love of teaching, Loopy will one day realize his other double dream of being a cartoon voice and owning his own used-bookstore-slash-cafe.
